Cycling

If you love bike trips, you will fall in love with Martinky. The Turiec region offers up to 19 flawlessly marked bike trails with a total length of 250 km. The trails connect upper, central and lower Turiec, pass through Turiec’s towns and 40 villages and lead to 11 of the most beautiful valleys in the region. The longest trail is the impressive Turčianska magistrála trail that leads from Vrútky to Turčianske Teplice and is 55 km long. Pick a trail based on your liking and start an exciting ride.

Educational trails

There are three circuits: Severný Turiec (Northern Turiec; 61.9 km long; 229 m elevation gain), Južný Turiec (Southern Turiec; 38.5 km long; 65 m elevation gain) and Stredný Turiec (Central Turiec; 38.5 m; 165 m elevation gain), and we will describe the Central Turiec trail in more detail.

Valley trails

Cycling in valleys surrounded by a pleasant forest environment isn’t demanding. We’d pick these trails in the Malá Fatra: Tanková cesta (Tank Road), Sučianska dolina and Šútovská dolina valleys. In the Veľká Fatra, we recommend these trails: Belianska dolina, Necpalská dolina, Gaderská dolina and Blatnická dolina valleys.

COVID-19

Due to the risk of Covid-19 transmission, the upcoming season will be a little different than we would like. However, we believe that spending time outside in the fresh air while respecting strict hygienic measures cannot be harmful.

We will regularly update all the information depending on developments in the country and region.

However, the following rules remain in place:

Cover your mouth and nose when around others
Keep a 2-metre distance
Pay by card, buy a ski pass online here
Wash your hands with soap and water several times a day
Avoid close contact with people who don´t live in your household
Cover your mouth and nose with a bent elbow when you cough and sneeze
