[vc_row scheme=”dark”][vc_column][vc_column_text scheme=”dark”]During autumn, tourists as well as recreational runners could once again take part in a sporting challenge – Martinky Mountain Canicross at Martinsk\u00e9 hole. A total of 38 competing pairs took part in the run along the ridge of L\u00fa\u010dansk\u00e1 Mala Fatra on six routes in the current fourth year of the activity.<\/p>\n

The Martinky mountain canicross is a sports event – a run with a dog, where a competitive pair of humans and dogs overcomes a designated route in the fastest possible time. During the entire race, the dog must be in a firm connection with the participant connected by a leash with shock absorber, the athlete uses a special seat and the dog is wearing a pulling harness.<\/p>\n

The fourth year brought up to six different routes to choose from<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to the traditional segment of Fatransk\u00fd V\u013a\u010dko, cross-country routes to Rotunda, Vetern\u00e9, Humience, Min\u010dol and Ve\u013ek\u00e1 luka were also added. The race started from the restaurant Nov\u00e1 Ponorka in Martinsk\u00e9 hole, the condition for the correct evaluation of the race was a novelty in the current year – time registration using the STRAVA application, where each competitor recorded their performance. It was possible to complete the routes individually during September or October, while each of them was marked on a paper “challenge card”.<\/p>\n

The evaluation of the race in the Fatransk\u00fd V\u013a\u010dko segment took place according to the category men \/ women with the best time, the first three places were awarded – J\u00falius Lamo\u0161 ran the fastest time and Karin Murga\u0161ov\u00e1 in the women’s category. Within the other segments, participants who completed a run on at least one route were drawn. The record holder of the race was Kristina Fillov\u00e1, who ran all six.<\/p>\n
