Winter Park Martinky, the MARTINKY Civic Association, and Towercom invite you to spend a pleasant summer afternoon at Martinské hole. On Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM, near the Nová Ponorka restaurant, we will present the historic SR-300 snow groomer and share the story of its journey from Switzerland to Martinské hole.
The snow groomer is associated with a story linking it to the XII Winter Olympic Games in Innsbruck (1976), where it was specially prepared for a visit by U.S. President Gerald Ford; we have uncovered more details about this history. At the Nová Ponorka restaurant, there will also be a panel exhibition about the Krížava transmitter, featuring interesting technical equipment, a model of the transmitter building, and a selection of pages from surviving historical chronicles.
