We will start the summer season on Saturday, May 30th with a rich program for all age categories. Together with tourist clubs and readers of the magazine Krásy Slovenska, we will present the book Koruna Turca. The musical atmosphere will be provided by the heli-gunners Chládekovci and members of the SKD Martin with a program of songs by Karol Duchoň “Zem pamätá”. The youngest visitors will be delighted by the outdoor workshop Leto s veveričkami (Summer with Squirrels) led by forest educator Erik Hirschner. Children will learn more about nature, forest animals and life in the mountains in a playful way. The program will also be complemented by the 55th Lišiak Vrútky choir from the Slovak Scouting.
Summer on the HZS Via Ferrata
Adrenaline lovers can enjoy the HZS Via Ferrata – one of the oldest via ferrata trails in Slovakia from June 1 to September 15. The route leads through the wild canyon of the Pivovarský stream and offers a unique mix of rock overhangs, ravines, bridges and steel ropes. Thanks to two levels of difficulty, both less experienced tourists and experienced via ferrata enthusiasts will have their fun. The via ferrata is also suitable for children from 10 years old accompanied by their parents.

Get to know the work of mountain rescuers up close. Demonstrations of technology, equipment and interesting activities await you under the leadership of rescuers of the Mountain Rescue Service from the Regional Center of the Veľká Fatra. - July 18 – Summer with squirrels
Continuation of the popular workshop for children and families with themes about nature, forests and animals. - August 8 – The story of the SR-300 snowmobile
At the Nová Ponorka restaurant, we will present the story of a unique snowmobile that traveled from Switzerland to Slovakia. The program will include a panel exhibition and the opportunity to see the snowmobile from the inside. - August 22 – Sky Show Martinské hole
The third year of the popular night sky festival will bring oversized models of the planets and the Moon, stargazing through telescopes and the fascinating atmosphere of the mountain night under the guidance of the employees of the observatory.
